The Beach House on Tiffany's Bay \ Accommodation in Salt Rock

This Mediterranean styled house is situated less than 200 meters from the beach in KwaZulu Natal's North Coast. Durban is only 40 minutes to the South, while Zululand's world renowned Game and Marine Reserves are between two and three hours drive to the North.

Accommodation

The Beach House has beautifully decorated bedrooms including a honeymoon suite, which has its own en-suite Jacuzzi and dressing room. Rooms have four-channel television, overhead fans and hospitality trays.

Breakfast

Our breakfasts, are truly special and weather permitting, are served alongside the pool on the sundeck. During your breakfast we can almost guarantee a sighting of the bottlenose dolphins which are resident off our coastline.

Attractions

Salt Rock is a gem of a holiday resort which exudes a relaxed holiday atmosphere, even for the locals. The name, "Salt Rock", originates from King Shaka's days when his handmaidens used to collect dried salt off the rocks at low tide. The salt was used for trading with settlers who would pass through regularly. This beach also provides some good fishing spots and there are beautiful reefs offshore. The main beach has lifeguards and is shark protected. Close to the main beach is a massive tidal pool which was originally built for guests staying in the area. There is bed and breakfast/guesthouse accommodation available.

North of Salt Rock is Sheffield Beach, which has some beautifully sheltered coves and superb rock pools that will delight those that snorkel. There are also some brilliant fishing and diving spots at Sheffield's most northern beach known as Christmas Bay. From certain spots along Sheffield Beach there are breathtaking views of the coastline heading towards Ballito.

Our greatest treasure is undoubtedly our wonderful coastline and its diversity. Come explore magnificent beaches, shelters, coves and rock pools all teeming with life. There are numerous shark-protected beaches with lifesavers in attendance to ensure your safety. Activities, such as Scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, dolphin tours and surf excursions are easily arranged on request.

Close by are Country Clubs that offer a broad spectrum of sporting facilities, including a whole host of world-class golf courses. Super restaurants, within walking distance cater to all tastes and budgets.
