Situated in a quiet residential area of Umhlanga, Tega-Tata is only a few minutes drive from the golden beaches of Umhlanga Rocks, as well as the vibrant and cosmopolitan Umhlanga village with its many and varied restaurants, shops, shopping malls and coffee shops will satisfy the palate of the most ardent of destination connoisseurs.

Umhlanga, 15km from Durban, is an upmarket coastal village with all amenities, its own blue flag beach, distinctive Lighthouse, and numerous water sports, land-based adventures available, as well as numerous walks, and sight seeing trips.

Tega-Tata Lodge, with its sweeping view and tranquil garden setting, is owner-run and managed, offering accommodation that is service-driven and provides a perfect base for accommodation for the corporate individual. Tega-Tata has eight luxury rooms, en suite bathrooms, DSTV, air-conditioning as well as secure parking.

Accommodation

Tega Tata boasts eight luxury guest rooms, two with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The weary traveler can relax and unwind in the privacy of his or her luxury room, channel surf on the DSTV selection of TV channels, read a book or magazine. Each room is well equipped with a luxury en-suite bathroom.

Security of our guests is a priority. Secure parking; electric fencing is some of the features we employ to ensure this. Our stunning pool area is surrounded by a stunning panoramic view of the Indian Ocean and surrounds and is situated in the centre of the entertainment area of the house. The built in braai and poolside undercover patio is a centre point for those long hot days around the pool.

The kitchen boasts the latest in design, as well as appliances that will satisfy the most critical of culinary connoisseurs “the perfect environment for our staff to prepare your morning meals.”
