After spending a busy day at the beach or at the office, why not come back to relax and unwind with us and enjoy an ice cold drink around the pool or on one of our lovely patios. Later on in the evening you may wish to barbeque around our braai or pay a visit to one of the many excellent restaurants or pubs in the Umhlanga area.

ACCOMMODATION

We have ten up market double rooms, tastefully furnished, serviced daily and all fitted with fully ducted air-conditioning, some of which are self-catering units. We are situated high up on Umhlanga Ridge, only two minutes from the beach front and from the many restaurants, pubs and shops along the promenade and in the village of Umhlanga itself. The small scale of this luxury hotel ensures a relaxed environment and friendly personal attention from our dedicated staff.

Breakfast and dining

After a comfortable night’s sleep, savour a delicious English breakfast either in our spacious dining room or outside on one of our sunny patios. The breakfast menu includes -- freshly sliced fruit salad using the superb variety of sub tropical fruits which are available to us ,as well as cereals, muesli, yoghurts, various egg types on request, sausage, bacon, fried tomato and many other daily specials and of course tea, filter coffee and fruit juices. Lunches and dinners are available on request.

ATTRACTIONS

You may wish to have a dip in the warm Indian Ocean or just lie and soak up the sun on one of the magnificent blue flag beaches. Why not pay a visit to the nearby KZN Sharks Board and view a shark being dissected as well as a most informative and interesting presentation, or take a leisurely stroll along one of the Umhlanga lagoons tranquil nature trails.

For the "shop-a-holic" there is Gateway Theatre Of Shopping, one of the largest shopping malls on the continent of Africa, with its huge array of shops, restaurants, pubs, clubs, cinema's and theatres. The centre even boasts a wave park (the only double wave park in the world), a skate park, bowling alley and its own rock climbing wall. There is an enormous physical fitness centre as well as much, much more - this centre is well worth a visit.

For the sport-lover, we have the recently constructed Moses Mabhida Stadium with bungee swing, several top-ranking golf courses, horse-riding and more.

Seasonal events include the sardine run, rugby, cricket, soccer, Comrades Marathon, the Duzi raft race and the famous Durban July horse racing event.
