Salt Water Lodge is situated in the Northern suburbs of Umhlanga Rocks, overlooking the Indian Ocean with unobstructed 180º views, 500m walking distance to the beach and pristine promenade. Umhlanga Rocks boasts in their Blue Flag Beach status and life guards on duty at the bathing beaches. 1,5km from the shopping village restaurants, banks, car hire and tour operators. 2,5km from Gateway Shopping Mall. Easy access onto the M4 and N2 highways, +/- 12 minutes drive to King Shaka International Airport.

Accommodation

Our rooms are spacious with elevated ceilings; each has their own private veranda offering luxury and semi luxury / standard. Ideal for family leisure and business stays. Rooms are serviced with bath towels and toiletries and our beds are dressed with top quality percale linen for your ultimate comfort. Bed configurations of twin, queen or king sizes are available.

All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, ceiling fan and TV, in addition our luxury rooms have a bar fridge, air conditioner and private lounge area. Allocated secure parking inside the property and 24hour monitored security for your peace of mind. Our one and only garden facing suite opens out onto a tranquil Koi fish pond which is stocked with 20 prize Koi, each are unique and are individually named, they age between 4 and 14 years.

Facilities

Our fully fitted gym offers, a treadmill, rowing machine, stationery bicycle, smith machine, lat machine, pulley machine, a variety of free weights, boxing equipment, bags and mitts. The indoor games room is adjacent to the dining room and is equipped with a pool table and a dart board, accessories included.

The outdoor trampoline and swimming pool keep children entertained for hours. Meander through our large spacious garden, a bird watches delight, enjoy a spectacular sun rise and sightings of whales and dolphins passing by, encapsulates the sea side ambiance.

The curious monkey families visit our garden and feast off an indigenous Milkwood tree which is in fruit with wild figs during the months of May and June. This particular Milkwood tree is approximately 54 years old.

On arrival our obliging staff will assist you with your luggage and settling you in to your room, take advantage of our two comfortable and spacious lounges, one of which is fitted with a large plasma screen and full bouquet of DSTV viewing.

The covered veranda, barbeque facilities and entertainment area lends itself to an unforgettable stay. Our fully fitted kitchen with granite tops, gas and electric stove is available for use. The laundry is fitted with a top loader washing machine and tumble dryer and should you require laundry service this can be arranged.
