River Walk Lodge is in a quiet cul de sac and is nestled on the bank of the Palmiet River with splendid views of the Palmiet Nature Reserve and easy access to M13, M19, N2 and N3.

ACCOMMODATION

All rooms have en suite bathrooms, are air conditioned, with fridges and tea / coffee facilities. All units have private entrances with access to the pool. We have self catering suites with fully equipped kitchenettes and private patios and also standard double rooms with private garden entrances.

River Walk Lodge is a bird watchers paradise with 126 species recorded. Whether enjoying a sun downer on a private patio or walking through the reserve, the prolific bird life is evident. As we are situated on the river of the Nature Reserve we have rock dassies, duikers and mongoose and other animals visiting the property.

There are many picnic sites and walking trails in the immediate area. The establishment is in the centre of the calming therapeutic sounds of nature yet also extremely central to attend business venues or sporting events. With exceptional views from your bedroom window or private patio, a nature lover’s paradise. A holiday away from home or a holiday away from business.

LOCATION & ATTRACTIONS

Centrally situated, we are ideal for both business and holiday; less than a kilometer from the Village Market Shopping Centre and seven restaurants. The Westville Shopping Mall is within 2 kilometers and has a gym. Also within a four kilometer radius is the Westwood Mall and the Pavilion shopping complexes which has cinemas.

We are in close proximity to Kloof Country Club, Durban Country Club, Royal Durban and Beachwood and we will gladly arrange games at these courses on your behalf. The beaches are 12 minutes away. It is 40km from the airport. Westville is central to Amanzimtoti on the South Coast, Umhlanga Rocks / Ballito on the North Coast and Kloof / Hillcrest to the West. We are also in close proximity to Westway Office Park and Derby Downs Office Park.

We are ideally situated for all types of activities. For the sports lovers we are close to Moses Mabhida Stadium, Absa Rugby Stadium, Sahara Cricket Stadium and Kings Park Swimming Pool. For the gamblers we have Sun Coast Casino and Sibiya Casino. The Wild Coast Sun is a pleasant drive down the coast. For the holiday makers uShaka Marine World is a must and on the beach front.

We are centrally situated for those wishing to attend the Indaba, July Handicap, Durban Beach Festival, Comrades Marathon, the Durban House and Garden Show and the Dusi Marathon (in fact we have canoe enthusiasts using our river for practice).
