Parade Hotel \ Accommodation in Durban Beachfront

Perfectly situated on the beach front on Durban's famous Golden Mile in KwaZulu-Natal, the Parade Hotel offers accommodation at affordable rates. This hotel was built in the 1930’s and therefore our rooms all differ in size and layout. We are a two star family hotel. Our very competitive room rates reflect our limited service environment.

This hotel is suitable for travelers looking for a no frills limited service experience. We are ideal for budget travelers, families, back packers, sports and school groups and the business man who does not expect a full service up market experience.

ACCOMMODATION

Parade Hotel offers guests clean rooms that enjoy panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, however none of the rooms have air conditioning, only fans. All rooms have satellite TV and some rooms have balconies. Currently we do not have internet facilities.

We have 14 double (1 double bed) and 14 twin (2 single beds) rooms.

Currently we have 17 family rooms – most comprise 1 double and 2 single beds, with the balance being 4 single beds. The family rooms are being increased to mainly accommodate sports and school group booking’s and will accommodate 4 or 6 in a room.

ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES

Visit the Sun Coast Casino, Ushaka Marine World - here there are numerous water rides and attractions, with aquariums and restaurants and the International Convention Centre. All are only a 5-minute drive away. A 10 minute drive takes you to Florida Road in Morningside where you can enjoy a vibrant night life.

The afternoons often bring fresh invigorating ocean breezes enough to inspire a visitor to enjoy a stroll on the promenade whilst watching the waves crash majestically on the sun drenched beaches.

The Parade Hotel is well located to visit surrounding attractions: Botanic Gardens located on the Berea on Botanic Gardens Road. These award winning gardens have a wide collection of local and exotic plants including the world famous Thorpe Orchid House. The gardens also have a wonderfully quaint tea house serving delicious creamed scones and crumpets.

Mitchell Park located in Morningside on Innes Road features a small zoo and a fabulous flower garden. The park also has a tea house serving meals.
