Michael's Nook \ Accommodation in Ballito

Situated in lower Ballito a mere 150 metres from the beach with secure off-road parking Michael’s Nook is within easy walking distance of several pubs, shops and restaurants. We also have our brand new promenade for gentle strolls along the beachfront or even the not-so-gentle jog. This is particularly popular early in the morning.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Nautica Unit
Consists of a large twin bedded room, lounge / dining room leading to the outside braai deck, a full length bunk bedded room, kitchenette and separate bathroom and shower.

The Tropica Unit
consists of a large queen bedded room, adjoining room with twin beds, a large lounge with sleeper couch and large kitchen. The unit also has its own seperate bathroom and shower.

Activities and Attractions

The new King Shaka International Airport with its shopping centre and popular restaurants and Dube Tradeport are only 20 minutes away. The Gateway Shopping Centre is a “must see” also approximately 20 minutes away. Durban is a 35 minute drive away where one can visit the incredible uShaka Marine World or go for a ride to the top of the new Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Further afield The Saint Lucia Wetlands, Umfolozi and Hluhluwe Game Reserves are only a two hour drive away. Closer by are Umhlali, Zimbali, Maidstone, Mount Edgecombe and Prince’s Grant Golf Courses all within half an hour of Ballito.

For the more daring The Sibaya Casino is 20 minutes away or even more locally you can feed the Crocs at Crocodile Creek!

Microlighting, deep-sea fishing, scuba-diving, kite boarding and whale watching trips can be organized and are only a phone call away and of course the local surfing is amazing. Why not close off an exciting day by sipping sundowners by the pool or even stroll down the road to one of the local pubs some with superb sea-views!
