A warm welcome awaits you at Mdoni House Guest Lodge where we invite you to relax in the peaceful tranquillity of our house and garden. Mdoni House Guest Lodge provides ideal accommodation for the businessman, tourist or traveller.

Conveniently situated in Umtentweni, a natural garden suburb nestling on the shores of the Indian Ocean, we are 3km from the centre of the bustling cosmopolitan town of Port Shepstone, and approximately an hour from Durban International Airport.

Set on a hillside amongst tall trees in over an acre of subtropical garden, the lodge is equipped with your comfort in mind. We look forward to being able to welcome you to Mdoni House Guest Lodge in the heart of the “Paradise of the Zulu Kingdom” where you will experience standards of service, food and accommodation that belie our extremely reasonable rates.

Accommodation

Our four double and two family rooms which are positioned around a central atrium are attractively decorated in a similar manner with clean cream walls, stunning metal bedroom suites and vibrant curtains and upholstery. Each room has an en-suite bath or shower room, television, fridge, ceiling fan and tea and coffee facilities - and for a wonderful night's sleep "Cloud Nine" mattresses.

Breakfast & Dining

The comfortable modern guest lounge and dining room also incorporates a licensed bar. Weather permitting, your freshly cooked a la carte breakfast is served next to the sparkling swimming pool at treetop level where you can watch colourful birds and monkeys playing in the branches.

There are a number of top class restaurants and take away outlets in the immediate vicinity, but if you prefer not to venture out, braai (barbecue) facilities are available. Alternatively we can provide a three course evening meal on prior request (weekdays only) at a reasonable charge.

Additional Services

Tourist information is readily available, and we are more than willing to book any tours, activities or car hire that you might require. We have plenty of secure shady parking for your car or boat.

Oribi Gorge Nature and Game Reserves, hiking trails and extreme sports, some of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, sea and river activities, fishing or cruises, as well as numerous tourist attractions, craft stalls, museums and art galleries restaurants and pubs are just some of the activities that might enthral you during your stay here.

For the sports enthusiast, Port Shepstone Country Club, 2km away, welcomes guests to use their facilities, or play on one of 10 top class golf courses that dot our beautiful coastline within 50km in either direction.
