Home From Home B&B is situated in the quiet suburb of Hayfields on the Durban side of Pietermaritzburg. The Hayfields Mall and Medicross are a mere 1.5 kilometres from here and the University of KwaZulu Natal is 3 kilometres away. The N3 highway to both Durban and Johannesburg are in close proximity but we are not affected by any traffic noise.

There are also many public and private schools within easy access of us. The city center, show grounds and Midlands Mall are 10 minutes away. Durban is a 45 minute drive and the Southern, Central and Northern Berg resorts are all less than two hours away.

This is a self catering or B&B facility and consists of open plan living and fully equipped mini kitchenette with shower, toilet and basin. Two single beds (can be converted to king-size), built in cupboards, TV and air conditioner.

Jasmine Room
Double room B&B with full en suite bathroom. Two single beds, built in cupboards, TV and air conditioner.

Lavender Room
Double room B&B with shower en suite. Two single beds, built in cupboards, TV and air conditioner.

Pietermaritzburg is well known for the Duzi Canoe Marathon, Comrades Marathon, Midmar Mile, and of late downhill cycling and now the BMX World Champs. There are many well known schools in the area and the very popular Midlands Meander is on our doorstep. Pietermaritzburg is the Capital of KwaZulu Natal and there are many Hhistoric sites and buildings to be seen .

Having spent many years away from home on business, I know what I wanted in a B&B and, have catered for those needs in making our guests stay as comfortable as possible.

We offer very comfortable rooms and, service is our priority. Everything is personally attended to by myself from servicing the rooms to cooking the breakfasts. We already have a flow of regulars who have been extremely satisfied with their stay with us.
