Accommodation

The Chalets
Hlalanathi offers very comfortable thatched chalets. All chalets are fully equipped and serviced. There are 2 x 2-sleeper chalets, which have a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, 9 x 4-sleeper chalets, which have two bedrooms with either one or two bathrooms and 5 x 6-sleeper chalets, which have three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The comfortable lounge is furnished with a lounge suite, TV, and log fireplace. The Garden Cottage does not have a fireplace, but does have a heater. Each cottage has a fridge/deep-freeze, microwave oven, stove, and outdoor braai (barbecue) area. All linen, crockery and cutlery is provided.

The Caravan Park
Hlalanathi offers level caravan and camping sites with 15 amp plug points. The stands are spacious and grassed to ensure maximum comfort. Our friendly staff will assist in putting up tents during office hours. Our modern ablutions offer an abundance of hot water.

Services

We also have a laundry service on the property, where our staff will do your laundry. Gas refills are done on site. We also offer free freezer space. Wood can be bought at our shop, should you wish to braai.

Dining

Hlalanathi has a restaurant and pub on site for those who do not wish to cook. There are also very nice restaurants and pubs in the area.

Conferences

Hlalanathi is ideal for small conferences or training sessions. Our venue can seat up to 30 delegates. There are various configurations available.

Activities & Attractions

Hiking:
Most hiking is done at the Royal Natal National Park, proclaimed a World heritage site. Guides can be arranged on request. There are also short trails from the resort.

Golf:
Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Amphitheatre Golf Club is situated at Hlalanathi. It is a challenging 9-hole course with18 tees. It boasts the Amphitheatre as a backdrop and has been developed with minimum impact on the berg environment.

Other Activities
Other activities include tennis, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, trout fishing in the area, bass fishing on site, mountain biking (you need to bring your own bike), bird watching, tubing, children’s playground, horse riding nearby, adventure sports nearby and quad biking nearby.

The Spioenkop game reserve is 45 minutes drive away and offers horse riding among the wildlife as well as conducted walks in the reserve to see the animals. Battlefield routes can also be arranged.
