This picturesque, thatched country retreat is situated among on the Midlands Meander ,on an outcrop overlooking natural bush and the rapids of the Lions River, and is ideally situated to explore both the Meander and the surrounding areas.

Granny Mouse welcomes visitors from all over the world to come and dine in fine style and spend the night in one of our cottages with a river view. The newly refurbished, spacious suites are stylishly furnished in classic fittings, refreshing rustic colours and plush fabrics. No matter how many times you stay, we know that you will always come back to our picturesque country retreat for more.

Accommodation

Accommodation comprises Garden Rooms, Family Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Deluxe Suite.

Most rooms have fireplaces and private balconies overlooking the Lions River. All have en-suite bathrooms with heaters and are individually decorated in plush, rustic fabrics with feather duvets. All rooms have TV’s, telephones and tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have either a fully stocked room bar or a bar fridge.

Breakfast

Sit on our terrace and enjoy a tasty country breakfast or sourdough french toast, you may also select a delicious homemade muffin or croissant from our continental buffet.

Dining

The award winning restaurant with world-class cosmopolitan South African menu, a cozy bar with roaring log fires and a well-stocked wine cellar offer a superb food and wine experience. At Granny Mouse we place great emphasis on our quality of service and "Going the extra mile!". With a world-class cosmopolitan menu comes a hidden treasure, our superb underground wine cellar is truly unique, with a comprehensive cross section of over 4,000 bottles of South African and International Wines, complete with a eight seater dining table for a menu degustation. The Food and wine experience is second to none.

We have our own bar, with first world pub charm, vaulted ceiling and a roaring log fire, overlooking views of the surrounding hillside and the rivers edge.

Weddings

Imagine your ceremony against the setting of the Caversham valley, in our newly completed chapel, under thatch, followed by drinks in the beautiful hotel gardens around our swimming pool. Our highly trained staff understand that it's your day and will design a wedding package to suit your unique requirements. Granny Mouse has a number of superbly appointed rooms for those guests wanting to stay overnight or for the weekend.

Our Wedding Portfolio includes personal welcome for you and your guests with fruit punch; Use of our in-house wedding coordinator; Complimentary Honeymoon suite for bridal couple on their wedding night; Full table set up and linen for 120 people and secure parking.
