Dubells Beach House Ramsgate
Dubells Beach House (named Hlathini which means “bush” in Zulu) is nestled in a lush tropical setting and is situated on the Southbroom estuary and the Imbazani River, overlooking the spectacular Indian Ocean. The warm Indian Ocean is a playground for dolphins and a nursery to whales. They both are spotted quite often from the deck at Dubells.
We have miles of sandy beaches with amazing tide pools, marine reserves and tropical gardens. The lush and indigenous vegetation is a home to countless birds and wildlife. Fish eagles have made their home on the estuary; they often visit us at Dubells.

Facilities & Services
The garden leads down to a path with a bamboo and mangrove canopy to the dock by the river. Here you can take the paddle ski or little boat down the river or over to Southbroom beach just a few meters away. Or you can just sit on the dock with your beach chair at sunset with a sundowner. And it is always a good idea to take a fishing poll. We have a full honesty bar for you to relax and enjoy the sea view or just sit and read a good book. Or you can relax in the hammock overlooking the garden and the sea with a drink and a book.
For the more adventurous we will supply you with a couple of beach bikes to ride down to the beach or on the many bike paths in the village. With prior arrangement we can take you on the rubber ducky (with electric motor) down the Imbazani River or over to South Broom beach.
Dubells also can supply you with a picnic basket and cooler for the trip down the river or over to South broom beach or to any of the other beach’s.
Breakfast
A full continental breakfast is served with hot breakfast served on request. Breakfast is either served on the deck overlooking the sea or for those rainy days in the dining room.
