Bordering on the beautiful Springside Nature Reserve in Hillcrest Park, Cliff Manor is the ideal setting for a tranquil stay. Mother and daughter team, Merle and Lauri will look after you with warm, family hospitality. From the moment you walk into Cliff Manor our aim is to make our guests feel at home.

Accommodation

Our four newly renovated bedrooms are tastefully decorated and ensure the utmost comfort to our guests. The high quality beds can be made up as either king-size or two singles. Each room has a private entrance with French doors leading onto either our large swimming pool, or a private garden courtyard. The rooms are equipped with TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, heaters, ceiling fans and a spacious en-suite bathroom with both a bath and shower in each. Our bedrooms have a tailor made information booklet with directions to popular facilities and restaurants in the area for our guest’s convenience.

We have a romantically decorated Honeymoon Suite with a luxury spa bath. Honeymoon guests are spoiled with many special treats in the room including rose petals in the bath and a draped bed. A special tray is set up with a snack basket for the couple’s enjoyment. The honeymoon suite opens up onto a private courtyard and has a two seater outdoor table and chairs where the happy couple can relax and enjoy a plunger of filter coffee.

Facilities

The lounge is for the exclusive use of our guests and has beautiful views of the nature reserve. It is comfortably furnished and equipped with a large fireplace which creates a warm atmosphere during the winter months. Guests will feel at home relaxing with a good book or magazine from our library, or enjoy watching the flat screen TV. The sliding doors open onto a welcoming verandah with a sparkling swimming pool. There is a lovely patio suite for the guest’s enjoyment where one can take in the stunning views of the Nature Reserve. Guests may also make use of our Weber braai.

Breakfast

Our rates include a hearty breakfast with buffet foods as well as a cooked English breakfast. Our intimate dining room ensures a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Attractions and Activities

As Cliff Manor borders on the Nature Reserve, we offer nature walks and bird watching on our doorstep. The indigenous plants in the Nature Reserve attract a large variety of stunning birdlife which is a treat for nature lovers. Organised guided walks take place on a regular basis and are advertised at the entrance to the reserve.

We have a sunny entrance hall with an information table set up with extensive pamphlets on things to do and see in our area. We are in close proximity to many sporting events such as the Comrades Marathon and Duzi Canoe race, as well as Inanda and Shongweni Dams. There are various popular golf courses in our area, including Cotswold Downs, which is a mere two minute drive away.

We are conveniently situated near to many schools and often host parents visiting to support their children’s sporting activities. For those who wish to experience a slice of Zulu culture, the Valley of 1000 Hills is a lovely outing. Hillcrest C.B.D has many shopping centers, entertainment facilities and family restaurants only five minutes drive away.

We cater for everyone, from the discerning businessman to people looking for a quiet break.
