BougainVilla \ Accommodation in Port Edward

Our house, the ‘Bougainvilla’ is located near the beach, on a 4000m² plot. Waking up with birds chatter, as we are located near Umtamvuna Nature Reserve, you’ll see the sun rise from the ocean or wet your feet on the beach as it is just 3 minutes walking from the house. It speaks for itself that from the garden or balcony you’ll have breathtaking beach en breaker views and from June to December you can see whales splashing their tails and dolphins frolicking in the surf.

Surrounded by wonderful gardens and with its own swimming pool, the house takes its name from the many colorful bougainvilleas which thrive in the subtropical climate. If you visit during the season help yourself to fruit picked from our mango, papaya, banana, avocado and lemon trees in the garden. The villa accommodates ten people and is fully equipped for a self catering holiday.

Accommodation

Five large bedrooms, two with an en-suite bathroom (toilet, bathtub, separate shower, sink). All bedrooms have a king or a queen size bed. One bedroom has two single beds, which can be pushed together or left separate depending on your needs. There’s a baby cot as well. The house is tiled throughout. Duvets, pillows, bed linen and bath / hand towels are provided.

• Large living room with sitting area, dining area and TV with DVD player (DVDs available for children)
• Pleasant lounge / work / play room (± 40 m2) with a great view of ocean (one side) and pool (other side)
• Supply of Dutch and English language books (± 50 books and many magazines) can be arranged during your stay
• Large open kitchen and separate utility room. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, double oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, coffee maker, toaster, kettle etc. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is crockery for 12 people.
• After swimming or a beach visit, you can rinse off in the bathroom (toilet, shower and sink) that is accessible from the garden
• Your car(s) can be parked in the carport (room for at least three cars)
• Garden furniture is provided on both the porch in the front yard and on the terrace at the rear of the pool area. Braai facilities are also provided

The house is divided into two wings (one with two bedrooms and three bedrooms), so it is particularly well suited for use by two families with children or for example a family with grandparents with the privacy of both guaranteed. Both wings have a large outdoor / patio with phenomenal sea views and are separately accessible and lockable.

Port Edward

Although Port Edward is a small village where crime is rare, the Bougainvilla is completely fenced and secured with an alarm system. The contracted security organization will be at the property within minutes should there be an emergency.
