Belaire Suites is a luxury hotel and is located on Durban’s Beachfront between Battery and North Beaches. We are situated right on the beach front and our rooms enjoy panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and Golden Beaches. The side facing rooms have side sea views of the north and south respectively. On a clear day Umhlanga Rocks in the north to the harbor in the South can be seen.

DINING

CAFÉ JIRAN
We are located on the ground floor of the Belaire Suites Hotel on Durban’s North Beach.
Our décor is elegant with a European sophistication with echoes of a continental style Bistro Cafe. We have an outside deck where one can sip cappucino and watch the passing parade.
All our meals are prepared on site with fresh seasonal ingredients by our skilled Chefs. We endeavour to use lower fats and natural sweeteners in our dishes.

We were placed in the top 3 for cuppachinos in Durban in 2009. We offer a selection of 7 beans, all natural organic, all fresh and roasted locally. Beans are only the highest quality Arabica and are sourced from all over the world. Coffees are available in espresso, cuppachino, latte, Americano, French press, crushes and smoothies.

We exclusively offer the best imported Chinese green teas : dragon well, flower, jasmine and white. Our juices, smoothies and crushes are all made from fruit sourced directly from the Durban Farmers market or from farms in the Richmond Ixopo areas of the Natal Midlands.

Breakfast
Our breakfast menu is extensive and offers such tasty treats as Griddle Crumpets with wild berry compote and Frittatas made with grilled onion, cherry tomatoes and cheddar cheese.

Meals
Our all day menu offers a wide selection of fresh seasonal dishes including: wraps, quiches, crab cakes, salmon rosti, pastas, salads, gourmet burgers and sandwiches and more substantial meals such as sage and thyme chicken, lamb shank, Entrecote and daily curry.

Bistro Fine Dining
In the evening we offer our Bistro fine dining menu with starters, main and desserts. Our menu items are paired with a wine for maximum enjoyment. Mains include: L’Entrecote on the bone with soufflé potatoes, brandied peppercorn and tarragon sauce; Rolled Chicken Mediterranean stuffed with roasted garlic, peppers and mozzarella; Country Oxtail on dhania mashed potatoes; Sage and Thyme Chicken on Thai style creamy coconut Udon noodles; Prawn and Mussel Parapadella; and Butternut and Spinach Tagliatalle.

The Suncoast casino is 1km away. Summer Square shopping centre is just behind the building with a Medical Clinic, Pharmacy and a Pick n’ Pay. There are Sports Facilities, Kings Park Rugby Stadium and a Swimming Pool just 1.5km away. You can visit Fun World, The Snake Park and Mini Town, 500m from our Suites.

The Belaire Suites is well located to visit surrounding attractions including Botanic Gardens located on the Berea on Botanic Gardens Road. These award winning gardens have a wide collection of local and exotic plants including the world famous Thorpe Orchid House. The gardens also have a wonderfully quaint tea house serving delicious creamed scones and crumpets.
