Blending the graciousness, elegance and spaciousness of colonial Durban with all the amenities of modern life, Bali on the Ridge Bed and Breakfast is an elegant, olde-worlde style home completely renovated and decorated in contemporary furniture, set high on the panoramic ridge of Upper Glenwood in Durban, overlooking the city and harbour.

Accommodation

We offer quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation to the business and leisure traveller, with emphasis on privacy and comfort. Guests can relax and enjoy our facilities which include ten large bedrooms with high ceilings, wooden floors and en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning, TV’s, MNet, DStv (movie, sports and BBC Entertainment), a fully stocked bar fridge, telephone, tea / coffee making facilities and a choice of either king size, twin or double beds.

Breakfast

Guests can enjoy a full English breakfast on the veranda overlooking the garden and dinner is available on request. We offer wireless internet access via wireless4u, and a laundry service.

Services

The security of our guests is important to us. We have on site parking via electronic remote access, with a 24 hour security guard on our street to ensure the safety of our guests at all times. Our property is fully fenced. We can arrange airport transfers, and recommend suitable taxi services for your safe journey.

Location & Attractions

Bali on the Ridge is situated within walking distance to the University of KwaZulu Natal, St Augustines and Entabeni Hospitals. We are closely situated next to Nelson Mandela School of Medicine and Albert Luthuli Hospital. The area around Bali on the Ridge is popular for its many restaurants, take-aways and shopping centres, all within a 5 km radius of the bed and breakfast.

The popular Florida Road area has many quaint restaurants, which spill over onto the pavements creating a vibey atmosphere at night. Musgrave Centre offers many upmarket shops and restaurants. Gateway Shopping Centre is 20 minutes drive from us.

We are also conveniently situated 5 minutes drive from Durban CBD and the International Convention Centre, a 10 minutes drive (7 km) to the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Morningside, and the Durban beachfront and Ushaka Marine World. The new King Shaka Airport is approximately 40 km from us and we are approximately 14km from Virginia Airport.
